Support 2 NATURE OF JOB:
This is administrative and clerical work within the Parks & Recreation Division.
Work includes a wide variety of clerical tasks, which require the application of independent judgment and knowledge of laws, regulations, policies or procedures.
The employee works under the supervision of the Parks & Recreation Division Manager.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS &
Responsibilities:
Maintains work management software, hard copies, database files, electronic copies of scanned documents, spreadsheets, or other methods as needed to provide storage and retrieval of all Parks & Recreation related correspondence, purchasing documents, personnel records, equipment inventories etc.
Procures telephone bids, prepare requisitions, track purchase status and submit completed requisitions/invoices for payment.
Monitors financial reports for Parks, Pier & Lifeguard divisions monthly and submit budget transfers as needed.
Maintains calendar of events, appointments, deadlines and personnel leave schedules, etc.
Fields phone calls and correspondence from private citizens and commercial entities in regards to Parks & Recreation operations.
Provides information or referrals as needed.
Adds or deletes vehicles/equipment from County inventory.
Completes acquisition/disposition forms as necessary to track vehicle/equipment status.
Regular reliable full-time attendance as scheduled.
The employer may add to or change duties at any time and as determined by the County and its leaders to best ensure that the public is served through the work of the Department.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Graduation from high school or the equivalent.
Proficient knowledge in the use of MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook is essential.
Must maintain good interpersonal and communication skills to deal with public.
Must be able to speak, write, and comprehend English language.
A comparable amount of training and/or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS:
Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Florida driver license upon offer of employment with a driving record acceptable to the County Driving Policy and insurance program.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Knowledge of business English, spelling and punctuation.
Knowledge of office practices and procedures.
Knowledge in the use of MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
Must have good interpersonal and communication skills to deal with public.
Outstanding project management and organizational skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Expertise in the use of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook is essential.
Ability to prepare routine documents and compose letters and memoranda.
Ability to make decisions in accordance with the rules; regulations and policies and apply these to work issues that may arise.
Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with other employees.
Ability to receive the public with great tact, poise, and patience when assisting with day-to-day activities.
Work is primarily performed in an indoor, climate-controlled environment and is nearly absent from disagreeable elements (e.
g.
, irate customer, extreme noise, heat, odors, heights and/or dust).
This is primarily office work requiring limited physical effort.
This position requires stooping, crouching, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, hearing, visual acuity (i.
e.
seeing up close, seeing far away, depth perception), kneeling, reaching, pushing, talking, standing, climbing, finger movement, repetitive motions.
Frequent lifting of 10 to 15 pounds; occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds, and may require lifting up to 50 lbs.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
